Children and young people

We want to make sure that you are safe and know what to do if you are worried about your own or a friend’s safety. This page has been developed to help you find the right place to go if you need help about some of these important issues.

If you are worried that you or a friend is not safe you should speak to a trusted adult or contact Childline.

ChildLine is a private and confidential service for children and young people up to the age of nineteen. You can contact a ChildLine counsellor about anything – no problem is too big or too small.

Call free on 0800 1111, have a 1-2-1 chat online or send an email.

Lots of other issues affect how safe you might feel. Things like friendships, bullying, being safe online, family problems, pressure from your friends etc. We have listed some places at the side where you can get help.
