Useful Information for Children and Young People
We want to make sure that you are safe and know what to do if you are worried about your own or a friend’s safety. Child abuse can mean a lot of different things such as neglect, physical, emotional or sexual abuse - it's not always easy to know if you or someone you know is being abused. But the important thing to remember is that no-one has the right to hurt you or make you do anything that feels wrong.
Remember - if you or someone you know is being abused in any way, then the most important thing to do is talk to someone about it.
The best place to start is to talk to an adult – this may be a family member, a teacher, a mentor, a youth worker, a dinner lady or someone else that you know and feel safe with.
If you can’t do this then you can contact us and we will pass on your details to a childrens social work team who will make contact with you:
