Multi-agency safeguarding training
One of the key responsibilities for Bolton Safeguarding Children Board (BSCB) is making sure there is a robust safeguarding training programme available for workers and volunteers. The programme is multi-agency and is open to anyone in Bolton who works with children, young people, parents and carers. The courses on offer range from awareness raising about safeguarding children through to specialist courses on forced marriage, child sexual exploitation and parental substance misuse. The brochure identifies which training is best suited to workers roles and responsibilities. Download our most recent programme here:
The training programme is commissioned by BSCB’s staff development group and the majority of courses are developed and delivered by our multi-agency trainer and members of BSCB’s training pool. Training pool members are all experienced practitioners who work across service for children and adults. The multi-agency courses are free to attend.
BSCB can also develop and deliver safeguarding training for individual organisations or groups to help them make sure they have workers and volunteers who know how to keep children safe. There is a charge for these types of courses, currently:
- ½ Day session - £150.00
- Full day session - £250.00
