Course Objectives:
By the end of the course the participants should be able to:-
- Understand how substance use relates to young people
- Increased understanding of trends and legislation in this field
- Identify which young people are most vulnerable to substance misuse
- Practise and use Bolton's young person's substance misuse assessment tool
- Examine how young people's substance misuse fits within Bolton's Framework for Action
- Understand and practise appropriate interventions with young people who misuse substances
- Take a holistic approach to young people's substance misuse
- Explore the principles of harm reduction in relation to young people's substance misuse
