06/11/2008Target Group: This course is intended for practitioners and managers who have contact with domestic abuse and child protection issues and who have already undertaken the one-day awareness training for Domestic Abuse (see page 26) or have had some previous Domestic Abuse training.

Course Objectives:
The course aims to encourage staff to explore the difficult area of the crossover between domestic abuse and it?s effects on children.
By the end of the course the participant will have:-
- Raised awareness of domestic abuse, child protection and their interaction
- Considered the effects of partner and child abuse on family interaction
- Examined how family abuse fits into Bolton?s Framework for Action
- Been informed about services in the Bolton area
